Sign-in is blocked for 15 minutes
Learn why sign-in stops after 5 wrong tries, and when you can try again.
Who can do this: Owner, Manager and Cashier
To keep your account safe, Orio360 stops sign-in after 5 wrong tries. Then the sign-in page says Account locked after too many failed attempts. Try again in 15 minutes. This keeps other people from guessing their way in.
What counts as a wrong try
- A wrong code from your email, or an old code.
- A wrong password.
- A wrong code from your authenticator app, if you use 2-step sign-in.
The tries count for your email in every app. That means the POS app, the admin app, the kitchen screen and the phone apps.
Sign in again
- Stop trying for now. More tries do not help.
- Wait 15 minutes. The time starts from your first wrong try.
- Open the sign-in page again.
- Type your email and press Continue. A new code comes to your email.
- Type the new code with care.
- Press Verify & Sign In.
When you sign in, the count of wrong tries goes back to 0.
There is no button to end the wait early. Not even the Owner can open it sooner.
Next time
- Use the newest code. Each new code stops the old one from working.
- Type the code within 5 minutes. After that, it stops working.
- Not sure of your password on the kitchen screen? Press Use OTP instead and use an email code.
