Add many products from a file

Do you have a long list of products? Put them in one sheet and add them all at once. The sheet is a CSV file. You can fill it in Excel or Google Sheets.

Add the products

1. In Products, press Import CSV.
2. Press Download Template. You get a sheet with the column names in the first row.
3. Open the sheet. Add one row for each product.
4. Save the sheet as a CSV file.
5. Back in Orio360, choose a location in Target Location. The stock in the file goes there.
6. Press Click to upload, and choose your file.
7. Check the list. Each row says Valid or Error. Fix the rows with an error in your sheet.
8. Press the Import button, like Import 12 Products.

When it ends, Import complete shows. It says how many products were made and how many were changed.

Fill in the sheet

Every row needs a name, a product code, a price and a GST rate. The first row of the sheet names each column.

• In the name column, type the product name.
• In the sku column, type your code for the product. Give each product its own code.
• In the price and cost columns, type the money in paise, with no dot. ₹1 is 100 paise, so ₹85.00 is 8500.
• In the GST rate column, type 0, 5, 12, 18 or 28.
• In the stock column, type how many you have at the location.
• You can leave the other columns empty, like category, barcode and unit.

Is a product code in the file already in your list at that location? Then that row changes the product. It does not add a new one.

For variants, add a row for the main product first. Then add a row for each variant. Put the main product's code in the parent column. Put the size or the colour in the variant size or variant colour column.
